Volumina Guitars is run by a duo - Dado Maric and Max Walczak

Our brand was born by an unusual interaction. Max designed and built a boost pedal and went to a random music store where he first met Dado who worked there. He put the thing on the counter and asked “Can you tell me if it’s any good?” and Dado’s reaction was “Where did you get that?!”. Soon they both discovered each other’s passion for music and vintage gear built to outlast people who own it.

Dado’s dream was to use what he learned to work closely with musicians and make his own guitars, but modern engineering and CNC machining were beyond his reach. Max has always wanted to put his skills and knowledge into something creative that makes people happy, but lacked the social skills to do so.

It didn’t take long until they both realized that this is a perfect combo to work on something great together.

Dado is a rock musician and dedicated guitar builder with nearly 20 years of Swiss precision experience in instrument construction, service, and repair. He’s got a great attention to aesthetics and detail and is responsible for working with our customers, building the guitars and coming up with new design ideas and concept arts.

Max has a strong background in broadly understood engineering and for the last 14 years has worked on various projects, ranging from autonomous vehicles to world leading terrestrial scanners. His responsibility is the entire technical process - material science, sound, CAD design and CNC machining.

Under Max’ and Dado’s direction, Volumina Guitars stands for handmade construction, thoughtful design, and a close connection between builder, instrument, and player. The result is a brand shaped by musical experience, technical care, and a clear belief that a guitar should feel personal from the first moment it is played.
